Depending on technical capability, scheduling, and parts availability, NEOTECH® may provide or coordinate support for selected:
- POS systems and terminals
- Barcode scanners
- Receipt printers
- Label and barcode printers
- Mobile printers
- Kitchen printers
- ID card printers
- Touch displays
- Auto-ID equipment
- Related business hardware and accessories
Services may include:
- Diagnostic inspection
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Repair
- Parts replacement
- Preventive maintenance
- Installation assistance
- Basic configuration
- Connectivity testing
- Operational testing
- On-site technical visits
- Workshop handling
- Rental equipment arrangements
Acceptance of a device for inspection does not automatically mean that it can be repaired.
2. Service Availability
Whether we can accept or complete a particular service depends on factors including:
- Exact brand and model
- Device age and condition
- Nature of the fault
- Technical feasibility
- Spare-parts availability
- Manufacturer or supplier support
- Required tools or documentation
- Technician availability
- Service location
For discontinued, legacy, physically damaged, or unsupported equipment, repair may not be commercially or technically practical.
If we cannot reasonably provide the requested service, we may decline the work after assessment.
3. Diagnostic & Inspection Process
A device may require diagnostic inspection before the repair scope or price can be determined.
Depending on the equipment and reported fault, assessment may include:
- Visual inspection
- Power testing
- Hardware testing
- Print testing
- Interface/connectivity testing
- Sensor testing
- Basic software or firmware checks
- Operational testing
Some faults cannot reasonably be identified without opening, dismantling, testing, or operating the equipment.
A preliminary diagnosis is therefore not necessarily a complete diagnosis.
4. Diagnostic Charges
Inspection or diagnostic work may be chargeable.
Where a diagnostic or inspection fee applies, it should be communicated before chargeable diagnostic work proceeds.
Where appropriate, a quotation may explain whether a diagnostic charge is:
- Separate from the repair
- Included in an approved repair
- Deducted from the final repair charge
- Non-refundable once diagnostic work has been performed
The applicable arrangement depends on the particular service request.
5. Repair Quotation & Customer Approval
Where reasonably practicable, chargeable repair work will begin only after the customer has been informed of the applicable scope and commercial terms.
This may include:
- Identified or suspected fault
- Proposed repair
- Replacement parts
- Estimated price
- Estimated timeframe
- Material limitations or risks where known
Customer approval may be documented through email, WhatsApp, quotation acceptance, purchase order, signed job sheet, or another appropriate written method.
Approval of one repair does not automatically authorize unrelated additional work.
6. Additional Faults Discovered During Repair
Technical inspection may reveal additional faults that were not reasonably identifiable during the initial assessment.
If an additional issue materially changes the agreed:
- Repair scope
- Parts requirement
- Price
- Expected outcome
we aim to inform the customer and obtain appropriate approval before proceeding with the additional chargeable work.
We do not intend to impose material additional charges without appropriate customer authorization.
7. Repair Estimates & Timelines
Repair timelines are estimates unless a specific commitment has expressly been agreed in writing.
Actual timing may depend on:
- Diagnostic findings
- Parts availability
- Supplier lead time
- Manufacturer support
- Device condition
- Technical testing
- Service workload
- Logistics
- Customer approval
We aim to communicate material known delays rather than knowingly provide an unrealistic completion date.
8. Spare Parts & Replacement Components
Depending on the repair and what has been agreed, replacement components may include:
- Original manufacturer parts
- Supplier-sourced parts
- Compatible replacement parts
- Other specifically disclosed components
We should not represent a compatible or third-party component as an original manufacturer part.
Where the distinction is material, the customer should be informed before installation where reasonably practicable.
Legacy or discontinued products may have limited or no commercially reasonable parts availability.
9. Customer Data – Backup Before Service
Customers should back up important data before submitting equipment for service whenever the device is capable of storing data.
Repair, diagnosis, firmware work, configuration, replacement, reset, or testing can potentially affect stored information.
Customers remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important:
- Business records
- Databases
- Configuration files
- Application data
- Credentials
- Licence information
- Other operational information
Where a service creates a reasonably identifiable material risk to stored data, we aim to communicate that risk where practicable.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Passwords, Credentials & System Access
Where testing requires access to a device or system, customers should provide only the access reasonably necessary for the agreed work.
Where practical, we recommend:
- Temporary credentials
- Restricted technician accounts
- Supervised access
- Changing or revoking temporary credentials after service
Customers should not unnecessarily disclose permanent passwords.
NEOTECH® staff should never require your:
- Banking password
- Card PIN
- Payment OTP
- Other private financial authentication credentials
11. Customer Privacy
Information accessed during legitimate service work should be limited to what is reasonably necessary to perform the agreed technical task.
NEOTECH® does not intend to access, copy, disclose, or use customer business information for purposes unrelated to legitimate service requirements.
Personal information is handled according to our applicable Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
12. Software, Licensing & Third-Party Systems
Unless expressly included in the agreed service scope, hardware service does not automatically include responsibility for:
- Third-party software
- Software subscriptions
- Licence activation
- ERP/POS application configuration
- Database administration
- Custom application development
- API or SDK integration
- Network remediation
- Cloud services
- Customer-developed applications
Customers are responsible for maintaining valid licences for software they use.
Where software or third-party integration work is required, it should be separately agreed.
13. Compatibility
Compatibility can depend on the exact:
- Device model
- Part number
- Interface
- Firmware
- Driver
- Operating system
- Application
- Network environment
- SDK/API
- Customer configuration
NEOTECH® does not provide a universal guarantee that repaired, installed, or rented hardware will operate with every third-party system.
Where compatibility is critical, it should be confirmed as part of the service scope before approval whenever reasonably possible.
14. Existing Damage & Device Condition
Customers should disclose relevant known history where appropriate, including:
- Previous repair attempts
- Liquid exposure
- Electrical damage
- Physical impact
- Missing components
- Unauthorized modification
- Intermittent faults
- Known operational problems
We may record the apparent external condition of equipment at intake.
Devices affected by liquid, corrosion, severe electrical damage, physical breakage, previous unsuccessful repairs, or modification may carry increased diagnostic and repair risk.
Where a material risk is identified, we aim to explain it before undertaking significant work where reasonably practicable.
15. No Guaranteed Repair Outcome
Not every fault can be economically or technically repaired.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, diagnostic acceptance or repair effort does not guarantee:
- Successful repair
- Permanent elimination of every fault
- Recovery of stored data
- Future availability of spare parts
- Manufacturer support continuity
- Compatibility with every third-party system
- Uninterrupted future operation
Where repair is unsuccessful, applicable charges depend on the diagnostic work, parts, labour, and terms agreed for that particular job.
16. On-Site Service & Installation
On-site support may be available for selected UAE customers and equipment.
Services may include:
- Inspection
- Installation assistance
- Basic hardware setup
- Connectivity configuration
- Operational testing
- Basic device configuration
Availability depends on location, equipment, technician scheduling, and the agreed scope.
On-site service is not automatically included with a product purchase.
17. Site Readiness
Before a scheduled visit, the customer may need to provide:
- Safe site access
- Suitable electrical power
- Working network connectivity
- Required access permissions
- Relevant hardware
- Appropriate system credentials
- A responsible site contact
If the agreed work cannot reasonably proceed because required site conditions are unavailable, the visit may need to be rescheduled.
Any applicable additional visit or call-out charge should be communicated where relevant.
18. Out-of-Scope Work
Unless expressly included in the quotation, on-site or installation work does not automatically include:
- Electrical work
- Civil work
- Structured cabling
- Major network changes
- Third-party application troubleshooting
- Custom programming
- Database work
- Software subscriptions
- Extensive integration work
Additional work should be separately discussed and approved where chargeable.
19. Service Completion
After repair, installation, or other technical work, we may perform reasonable functional testing relevant to the agreed scope.
Where appropriate, the customer may be asked to acknowledge completion through:
- Job sheet
- Other written confirmation
Customer silence alone will not automatically be treated as acceptance merely because a fixed number of days has passed.
If an issue relating to the completed service remains, customers should contact us promptly with relevant details.
20. Service-Related Warranty
A limited warranty may apply to particular repair work or replacement components.
Any service warranty should be understood according to the written terms applicable to that repair.
Coverage may depend on:
- Repair performed
- Part replaced
- Component supplier
- Device condition
- Service type
- Usage conditions
There is no universal service-warranty period unless expressly stated for the particular repair.
21. Service-Warranty Limitations
A service warranty ordinarily applies to the specific repair or replacement component covered by the agreed service terms.
It does not automatically mean that every component or unrelated future fault in an older device is covered.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable terms, coverage may not extend to issues caused by:
- New accidental damage
- Liquid exposure
- Electrical damage
- Misuse
- Unauthorized subsequent modification
- Unrelated component failure
- Consumable wear
- Software corruption
- External environmental conditions
Applicable rights under UAE law remain unaffected.
22. Rental Equipment
Rental equipment may be available for selected business requirements, subject to:
- Equipment availability
- Application
- Rental duration
- Location
- Customer verification
- Commercial terms
- Written confirmation
A rental request does not guarantee availability until the equipment and commercial terms have been confirmed.
23. Rental Agreement
Material rental terms should be confirmed in writing before equipment is released.
Depending on the transaction, this may include:
- Equipment description
- Serial number where applicable
- Quantity
- Rental period
- Rental charge
- Deposit where applicable
- Delivery/collection arrangement
- Included accessories
- Consumables
- Extension terms
- Damage/loss conditions
- Return date and condition
Transaction-specific written rental terms take priority for the particular rental where consistent with applicable law.
24. Rental Equipment Condition
Where practical, equipment condition may be documented before release and on return.
Customers are expected to use rented equipment reasonably and for its intended purpose.
Customers should promptly report:
- Malfunction
- Accidental damage
- Loss
- Theft
- Significant operational problems
Customers should not undertake unauthorized repair or modification of rental equipment.
25. Rental Loss or Damage
Responsibility for loss or damage will depend on the circumstances and the applicable rental agreement.
Customers will not automatically be charged simply because equipment develops a technical fault during normal intended use.
Where customer-caused loss or damage is established, reasonable repair or replacement costs may apply according to the agreed rental terms and applicable law.
26. Rental Consumables
Unless expressly included in writing, consumables such as:
- Labels
- Ribbons
- Receipt paper
- Paper rolls
- Cards
- Other usage-dependent materials
are generally separate from equipment rental.
Battery treatment depends on the particular equipment and rental agreement and should not automatically be classified as a consumable in every case.
27. Rental Extensions
Rental extensions are subject to:
- Equipment availability
- Existing reservations
- Payment status
- Operational requirements
- Written agreement
Customers should request an extension before the scheduled return date.
An extension is not confirmed until accepted.
28. Device Collection After Service
Customers should collect completed equipment within a reasonable period after being notified that it is ready.
We may make reasonable attempts to contact customers using the contact information supplied.
If equipment remains uncollected for an extended period, we may contact the customer regarding collection, storage limitations, and any further steps that may be legally available.
We do not automatically treat uncollected customer property as abandoned merely because a fixed period has passed.
Any storage fee or other consequence should be disclosed and handled according to applicable terms and law.
29. Transportation
Where a customer independently arranges transportation of equipment, suitable protective packaging and traceable transport are recommended.
Where NEOTECH® arranges transportation, the applicable scope and charges should be confirmed where relevant.
Responsibility for loss or damage during transportation depends on who arranged the transport, the circumstances, the applicable carrier terms, and applicable law.
30. Customer-Supplied Parts
NEOTECH® may choose whether to accept customer-supplied components for installation.
If accepted, we may limit our service responsibility to the installation workmanship where the quality, authenticity, suitability, or condition of the customer-supplied part cannot reasonably be verified.
Any such limitation should be communicated before work proceeds.
31. Health & Safety
NEOTECH® may decline, suspend, or reschedule work where equipment or site conditions create an unreasonable safety risk.
Examples may include:
- Exposed hazardous electrical components
- Unsafe power conditions
- Severe liquid contamination
- Unsafe site access
- Other conditions presenting a material risk to people or property
This decision should be based on reasonable safety considerations rather than inconvenience.
32. Customer Approval & Records
For commercially significant service, repair, installation, or rental transactions, customers are encouraged to retain:
- Quotations
- Approval messages
- Job sheets
- Invoices
- Payment records
- Rental documentation
- Service correspondence
NEOTECH® likewise aims to maintain appropriate transaction records.
Written records help protect both parties if a question arises later.
33. Disputes & Concerns
If a customer disagrees with a diagnosis, charge, repair result, rental condition assessment, or service outcome, they should contact us with the relevant information.
We aim to review concerns based on:
- Agreed service scope
- Device condition
- Customer approval
- Technical findings
- Written communications
- Available supporting evidence
For further information, please review How We Handle Disputes Fairly.
34. UAE Service Coverage
Our standard service, repair, rental, and on-site support activities are focused on the United Arab Emirates.
Subject to availability and individual arrangements, service may be available in:
- Dubai
- Abu Dhabi
- Sharjah
- Ajman
- Other UAE locations
Travel, call-out, or other location-dependent charges may apply where agreed.
35. Customer Choice
Customers are welcome to:
- Request clarification
- Review the proposed repair
- Ask about replacement parts
- Decline a repair quotation
- Seek a second technical opinion
- Compare service providers
Except where a diagnostic fee or another charge has already been agreed and earned, requesting a quotation does not oblige a customer to proceed with repair.
Learn First. Decide Second.
FAQ – Service, Repair & Rental
Q: Do I need to back up my data before submitting equipment for repair?
A: Yes. Where a device stores data, customers should maintain an appropriate backup before repair, diagnosis, firmware work, configuration, or other technical service.
Q: Are repair timelines guaranteed?
A: No. Repair timelines are normally estimates and can depend on diagnosis, parts availability, supplier support, testing requirements, and device condition.
Q: Will NEOTECH® start a repair without my approval?
A: Material chargeable repair work should normally proceed only after the applicable scope and charges have been approved. If additional material faults are discovered, further approval may be required.
Q: Are diagnostic inspections free?
A: Not necessarily. Diagnostic or inspection work may be chargeable. Where a diagnostic fee applies, the applicable terms should be communicated before chargeable diagnostic work proceeds.
Q: Are all replacement parts original manufacturer parts?
A: Not necessarily. Depending on availability and the agreed repair, a replacement may be an original, supplier-sourced, or compatible component. We should not represent a compatible component as an original manufacturer part.
Q: Does NEOTECH® guarantee that every device can be repaired?
A: No. Repair feasibility depends on the fault, device condition, technical feasibility, parts availability, and other factors.
Q: Does NEOTECH® provide on-site support?
A: On-site support may be available within the UAE depending on location, equipment, technician scheduling, and the agreed service scope.
Q: Is installation included when I buy equipment?
A: Not automatically. Installation or configuration is included only where offered and confirmed for the particular transaction.
Q: Does repair include third-party software support?
A: Not automatically. Software, licensing, database, integration, network, and third-party application work must be included in the agreed service scope where required.
Q: Are rental consumables included?
A: Consumables are generally separate unless specifically included in the written rental terms.
Q: What happens if rented equipment develops a fault during normal use?
A: The circumstances will be reviewed. A technical fault occurring during normal intended use does not automatically mean that the customer is responsible for repair or replacement costs.
Q: Can I extend a rental period?
A: An extension may be possible subject to equipment availability, payment status, existing reservations, and written confirmation.
Q: What happens if I do not collect my repaired equipment immediately?
A: We will make reasonable efforts to contact you. Extended storage may require further arrangements, but customer property is not automatically treated as abandoned merely because a fixed period has passed.
Q: Can I decline a repair after receiving the quotation?
A: Generally yes, unless a separate commitment has already been agreed. Any applicable diagnostic or inspection charge already disclosed and earned may still remain payable.
