Terms such as white wax ribbon, white wax-resin ribbon, white resin ribbon, washable white ribbon, chemical-resistant white ribbon and high-opacity white ribbon describe different possible formulations and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Barcode and QR-code readability must be verified using the actual printed label and intended scanning equipment. White-on-black or other reversed barcode designs should not be assumed readable in every scanning application.
Wash, abrasion, chemical, heat, outdoor and other resistance properties should only be relied upon when documented for the exact ribbon-label combination and, where appropriate, confirmed through application testing.
