360° Situational Overview with Optional PTZ Detail The AXIS Q6020-E Panoramic Camera is an outdoor-ready multidirectional network camera built around four 5 MP image sensors to provide a full 360° overview.

Axis designed the Q6020-E specifically for use with compatible AXIS Q60 PTZ cameras, allowing operators to combine panoramic situational awareness with PTZ zoomed-in detail in the same surveillance solution.

The four independent sensors together provide panoramic coverage while preserving separate high-resolution views.

The Q6020-E is specifically designed for operation with the AXIS Q60 PTZ Camera Series.

This creates a two-layer surveillance approach:

Q6020-E: continuous 360° overview
Compatible Q60 PTZ: zoomed-in detail and active tracking

Axis states that users can move from overview to detailed PTZ views with one click when the devices are combined appropriately.

The panoramic camera should therefore not be described as having optical zoom itself.

Autopilot with Compatible Q60 PTZ

Axis’s Autopilot function can use object detection from the panoramic Q6020-E to redirect a compatible Q60 PTZ toward a moving target.

The PTZ can then provide a closer view and track the object.

This can help reduce operator workload where wide-area overview and detailed follow-up views are both required.

Actual tracking and identification performance depends on the PTZ model, scene, object characteristics, installation geometry and configuration.

Deep Learning Processing Unit

The Q6020-E includes a deep learning processing unit (DLPU) for running advanced analytics at the edge.
