✅ Warranty & Support Policy

Warranty & Support Policy – NEOTECH® UAE

Clear warranty terms, responsible support, and transparent UAE-based service.

At NEOTECH® UAE, we believe warranty expectations should be understood before purchase, particularly for business equipment, special-order products, consumables, and products whose warranty is provided by a manufacturer, distributor, or third-party service provider.

Warranty coverage can differ by brand, exact model, part number, product category, source, and individual transaction. Customers should therefore review the warranty stated on the applicable product page, quotation, invoice, or order confirmation before payment.

Learn First. Decide Second. Confirm Before You Pay.

1. Confirm Warranty Before Purchase

Before ordering, customers should review the warranty applicable to the exact product being purchased.

Where warranty is important to your purchasing decision, please confirm:

  • Exact brand, model, and part number
  • Warranty duration
  • Warranty provider
  • UAE/local or other applicable service arrangement
  • Carry-in, collection, or other service procedure
  • DOA procedure, where applicable
  • Consumable or accessory exclusions
  • Any manufacturer-specific registration requirements
  • Any material limitations stated in the quotation or product documentation

If the warranty arrangement is unclear or materially different from what you expected, please do not make payment until we have clarified it in writing.

There is no pressure to purchase from NEOTECH®.

2. Warranty Coverage & Duration

Warranty coverage is product-specific.

Depending on the particular transaction, warranty support may be provided through:

  • The applicable manufacturer
  • The applicable distributor or supplier
  • A designated service provider
  • NEOTECH® / NEOLYN TECHNOLOGY LLC, where expressly applicable

The applicable warranty period and commencement date depend on the terms for the particular product and transaction.

We therefore avoid representing one universal warranty duration or start date as applying to every product.

Where a quotation or invoice states a specific warranty arrangement, customers should review that information before confirming the order.

3. What a Product Warranty May Cover

Subject to the applicable warranty terms, eligible hardware warranty claims commonly concern manufacturing or hardware defects arising during normal intended use.

Actual coverage is determined by the warranty applicable to the particular product.

A warranty should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a product can never fail.

4. DOA – Dead on Arrival

Dead-on-arrival procedures vary by brand, supplier, product, and applicable warranty arrangement.

Customers should report products received in an apparently defective condition as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and provide the relevant order and fault information.

We deliberately do not state a universal “1–2 working day DOA window”, because the applicable period may differ between manufacturers and products.

Reporting a problem promptly helps us determine the appropriate process but does not remove any rights that apply under UAE law.

5. Common Warranty Exclusions

Depending on the applicable manufacturer's or warranty provider's terms, warranty may not cover issues resulting from circumstances such as:

  • Accidental or physical damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Misuse or operation outside applicable product specifications
  • Unauthorized modification or repair
  • Electrical damage or unsuitable power conditions
  • Damage caused by incompatible equipment or accessories
  • Normal wear
  • Consumable items
  • Software, configuration, integration, or third-party-system issues that are not caused by a covered hardware defect

The precise exclusions depend on the warranty applicable to the product.

We will not automatically describe an item as excluded merely because it appears in this general list if the applicable warranty or UAE law provides otherwise.

6. Consumables & Wear Items

Items such as labels, ribbons, paper rolls, printheads, platen rollers, batteries, cutter assemblies, and similar components may have different warranty treatment because their service life can depend heavily on usage and operating conditions.

Coverage should be determined from the applicable product/manufacturer warranty rather than assumed.

7. Warranty Claim Information

To investigate a warranty request, we may reasonably ask for information such as:

  • NEOTECH® invoice or order reference
  • Product model and part number
  • Serial number or IMEI, where applicable
  • Description of the problem
  • Photos or video demonstrating the issue
  • Error messages or logs where relevant
  • Manufacturer warranty or registration information where applicable

Additional information should be requested only where reasonably relevant to the claim.

8. Initial Assessment Is Not a Final Warranty Decision

Receiving a product for inspection does not itself confirm that the reported problem is covered under warranty.

Depending on the product, diagnosis or warranty approval may require inspection by a manufacturer, distributor, supplier, or service provider.

Likewise, an initial inability to reproduce a fault does not automatically mean that a customer's report is invalid.

We aim to communicate the outcome based on the available technical evidence and applicable warranty terms.

9. Warranty Process

A typical process may include:

  1. Contact – Customer provides order/invoice and fault details.
  2. Initial Review – We review the information and advise the appropriate next step.
  3. Product Assessment – The item may need to be delivered to or inspected by the relevant service provider.
  4. Diagnosis / Warranty Decision – The applicable warranty provider determines the appropriate action where third-party approval is required.
  5. Resolution – Depending on the circumstances and applicable terms, this may involve repair, replacement, another appropriate remedy, or an explanation where the claim is not covered.

The exact process varies by product.

10. Service & Repair Timelines

We do not guarantee a universal 2–5 day evaluation or 7–14 day repair period.

Repair and warranty timelines can depend on:

  • Product and fault
  • Manufacturer or supplier assessment
  • Parts availability
  • Service-center workload
  • International procurement
  • Logistics
  • Required technical testing
  • Manufacturer approval

Where an estimated timeline is available, we aim to communicate it clearly.

An estimate should not be interpreted as a guaranteed completion date unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

11. Replacement Products

A warranty claim does not automatically mean that an immediate replacement will be available.

Repair, replacement, refund, or another remedy depends on the applicable warranty, technical findings, product availability, transaction circumstances, and rights available under UAE law.

Where a manufacturer or warranty provider determines the applicable remedy, we will communicate that information to the customer.

12. Installation & Configuration Services

Installation or configuration may be available for selected products and projects in the UAE when separately confirmed.

Potential services may include:

  • POS hardware installation
  • Barcode and label printer setup
  • Receipt printer setup
  • Scanner configuration
  • Basic device connectivity
  • Other specifically agreed hardware configuration

Installation is not automatically included with every product purchase.

The exact scope, location, price, schedule, and exclusions should be confirmed in writing before service.

13. Installation Exclusions

Unless specifically included in a written quotation or service scope, installation does not automatically include:

  • Electrical work
  • Civil work
  • Structured cabling
  • Network remediation
  • Custom software development
  • Third-party software licences
  • Subscriptions
  • Database work
  • ERP/POS software integration
  • Extensive customer-system troubleshooting
  • Work outside the agreed service scope

Additional work should be discussed and, where chargeable, agreed before proceeding.

14. Customer Site Responsibilities

Where on-site service has been agreed, customers may need to provide:

  • Safe and reasonable site access
  • Suitable electrical power
  • Required network connectivity
  • Necessary access permissions
  • Relevant equipment
  • An appropriate site contact
  • Authorized access to systems necessary for the agreed work

If prerequisites are unavailable, work may need to be rescheduled.

Any additional call-out or revisit charge should be communicated and agreed where applicable.

15. Credentials & System Access

Where technical work requires access to a customer's system, customers should provide only the access reasonably necessary for the agreed service.

Customers should not send permanent passwords unnecessarily.

Where practical, temporary credentials or supervised access should be used and changed or revoked after completion.

NEOTECH® will never require a customer's online banking credentials, card PIN, or payment OTP for technical support.

16. Customer Data & Backups

Customers should maintain appropriate backups before repair, installation, configuration, firmware updates, troubleshooting, or other technical work where data could potentially be affected.

Where a service may reasonably create a material risk to customer data, this should be discussed before work begins where practicable.

We do not use this policy to exclude responsibility where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Third-Party Software & Systems

Hardware compatibility and functionality can depend on:

  • Operating systems
  • Drivers
  • Firmware
  • Applications
  • APIs and SDKs
  • Network environments
  • Third-party software
  • Customer-developed applications
  • External platforms

Unless expressly included in our agreed scope, the sale of hardware does not itself constitute a guarantee that third-party software, applications, platforms, or integrations will function with it.

Where compatibility is material, customers should verify requirements before ordering and payment.

18. Service Completion & Sign-Off

Where installation or paid technical work is performed, we may request a signed job sheet, email confirmation, or other acknowledgement of the work completed.

Silence will not automatically be treated as acceptance merely because two business days have passed.

If an issue remains following service, customers should contact us promptly so that it can be reviewed.

19. On-Site Support & Additional Charges

On-site support, travel, extended technical work, revisits, or out-of-scope services may be chargeable.

Where reasonably practicable, applicable charges should be communicated before the additional service is performed.

We do not assume that every Dubai installation is complimentary unless this is specifically confirmed for the transaction.

20. Logistics for Warranty & Service

The applicable warranty or service arrangement will determine how equipment is transported.

Depending on the transaction:

  • Customer drop-off may be required
  • Collection may be arranged
  • A manufacturer/service center may provide logistics
  • Courier arrangements may be agreed separately

Where a customer independently arranges shipment, suitable packaging and an appropriate traceable service are recommended.

Responsibility for transportation should be determined according to the applicable arrangement and law rather than assumed from a universal rule.

21. 30-Day Returns Are Separate from Warranty

Warranty claims and change-of-mind returns are different processes.

Our published Return & Refund Policy provides the applicable conditions for eligible returns, including our standard 30-day new-condition return framework.

A defective-product claim may involve rights and remedies different from an ordinary change-of-mind return.

Customers should contact us if they are uncertain which process applies.

22. Documentation

Depending on the transaction and what is legitimately available, we may provide documents such as:

  • UAE VAT documentation
  • Warranty information
  • Product documentation
  • Manufacturer documentation
  • Certificate of Origin where available and specifically agreed
  • Company documents where reasonably required for a legitimate transaction

We do not promise brand authorization, distributorship, partnership, or similar documentation unless we actually possess documentation supporting that status.

23. No Unsupported Authorization Claims

The sale, listing, installation, or servicing of a third-party product does not by itself mean that NEOTECH® is an:

  • Authorized distributor
  • Authorized reseller
  • Official service center
  • Exclusive dealer
  • Manufacturer representative

We will use such descriptions only where supported by appropriate written authorization.

24. Customer Freedom of Choice

Before purchasing, customers are welcome to compare:

  • Product specifications
  • Warranty arrangements
  • Service availability
  • Prices
  • Delivery terms
  • Alternative products
  • Alternative suppliers

If another supplier offers a warranty or service arrangement better suited to your requirement, you are free to purchase from them.

Our objective is to explain our offer clearly rather than pressure a customer to buy from us.

25. If Something Is Unclear, Do Not Pay Yet

Warranty and after-sales support can materially affect a purchasing decision.

If the warranty duration, provider, service location, compatibility, support scope, or another material condition is unclear:

Please ask us to clarify it before making payment.

Proceed only when you understand and are comfortable with the applicable terms.

26. Rights Under UAE Law

Manufacturer, distributor, supplier, or contractual warranty terms do not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable UAE law.

Nothing in this policy is intended to waive, restrict, or replace such mandatory rights.

FAQ – Warranty & Support

Does every NEOTECH® product have the same warranty?
No. Warranty coverage varies by product, brand, model, source, and applicable manufacturer or transaction terms. Check the warranty stated for the exact product before ordering.

When does my warranty begin?
This depends on the applicable product and warranty terms. Where the commencement date is important, please confirm it before purchase rather than assuming that one rule applies to every brand.

Does NEOTECH® guarantee repair within 7–14 days?
No. Repair timelines depend on diagnosis, service provider, parts availability, manufacturer approval, logistics, and other circumstances. Any timeframe provided should be treated as an estimate unless expressly confirmed otherwise.

Will a defective product always be immediately replaced?
Not necessarily. The appropriate remedy depends on the defect, applicable warranty, technical assessment, product availability, transaction circumstances, and applicable UAE rights.

Is installation included with every purchase?
No. Installation is available only where offered and confirmed for the particular transaction.

Does NEOTECH® guarantee third-party software compatibility?
No universal compatibility guarantee is provided. Compatibility should be checked for the particular product and application before purchase where it is material.

Do I need an invoice for warranty support?
Proof of purchase or another verifiable order record may be required so that the transaction and applicable warranty can be identified.

What should I do if I do not understand the warranty before buying?
Do not make payment yet. Contact us and ask for clarification. We want the applicable material terms to be understood before the transaction proceeds.
