Slidable Mech-Sensor

The main distinction of the APF Series is the slidable Mech-Sensor.

For rectangular labels, the label gap remains relatively consistent across the width of the label.

For round, oval or irregularly shaped labels, the visible gap between labels can vary depending on where the sensor is positioned.

TOWA addresses this by allowing the mechanical sensor to slide left or right until it aligns with the appropriate part of the label.

This allows the applicator to work with a wider variety of label shapes than the standard APN Series.

How to Adjust the Sensor

The operator should slide the Mech-Sensor to a position where it can reliably detect the edge of the label.

TOWA’s guidance describes moving the sensor toward the center or highest point of the label shape as appropriate.
